PROJECT ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE  KIT  Follow a charming, 16” pillow top or wall quilt [top] project to learn the preparation for appliqué dogtooth borders by hand or machine. A kit is used to make the preparation for the class easy and the class time more efficient.  Backing, binding and batting are not included in the kit.

A Power Point presentation opens the class presenting the step by step process of using Darlene’s DCC DOGTOOTH TOOL. Followed by ‘hands on’ practice. Machine workers can begin the process by hand in class and complete the work by machine easily.

$8.00 KIT INCLUDES:  Pattern and all fabrics, some pins [Clover fine silk] and a needle [Richard Hemming & Sons milliners #11]. Mettler 60/2 cotton threads with the green printing are available for use during the class.  Fabrics will vary but normally color #700 is suitable. The use of the DCC DOGTOOTH TOOL is available and will be available for sale as well.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:  Thimble and misc. hand sewing tools. Small - sharp - straight 4" embroidery scissors for fabrics and threads, VERITHIN silver art pencil ~or~ white chalk pencil.

CLASS ROOM SET UP:  Two irons and boards, ample lighting & table space for each student, two 8’ tables and four extra chairs for the instructor where possible. Can the room be darkened for a Power Point presentation? Is there a white wall?

Darlene may offer a few items for sale during class such as tools, books, patterns, pencils, sharpeners, pins and needles and thread packs when available and appropriate. No percentage of sales will be taken by the hiring party. Quilt shops are welcome to discuss consignment options.
